Since their launch in 2003 Potato Academy’s What Were You Like?!! Milestone Birthday cards have proved extremely popular - with consumer sales up and around 1 million. Taking the subject back to the era they were 21 the cards carry a humorous cartoon that show relevant fashions and events with possibly a line from a song - plus a badge stating “FORGET XO I'M ACTING 21”.
The verse on the inside back cover refers to the year and tells the subject to “FORGET THAT YOU ARE X0 ACT 21 AGAIN!” There are 24 designs that are approximately 9” x 6”, sell around £2.65 and are available in most high streets in the UK. 14 designs offer his and her variants for ages 40,50,60,65,70 and 80 plus generic cards for 30 and 75. We also have Mum and Dad cards for ages 50,60,70 and 80 and Grandad cards for 70 and 80. Latest addition to the range are Brother cards for 30,40 & 50 and Husband for age 60. There is also a range of 4 large cards (approximately 20” x 16”) for ages 40,50,60 and 70 that retail for around £6 each.
